Every time I go to an auto show, all that new leather convinces me that new car smell is the best smell on earth. But when I walk in my garage and smell the Super, old car smell is the best. So my question to Oppo is this: Old car smell or new car smell?

Old car = oil leaks, gas leaks, transmission fluid?

New car = Plastic/Chemical/Adhesive fumes?

Gotta be new. For me, my old car smell is usually Taco Bell fumes burned into the leather and whatever trash my wife leaves in the car.

Its variable whether an old car smells good. Cars from the 50s and earlier used organic materials that smell good when they're taken care of, but smell (literally) rotten if they're neglected. I kinda like the smell of a old car running a little rich.

If you've ever sanded off old paint from an old car, it's not a pleasant smell. The flowable butyl stuff they used to seal old car windshields has a pretty distinct smell, but the smell doesn't last very long.

Newer car interiors smell like spray-on adhesive to me. It's not natural or pleasant.
